PFI was founded in Italy in the early 1990s as a spinn-off of a company founded in the 1970s specialized in the production of industrial cold rooms. The inherited overten-year experience has led PFI to distinguish itself from the outset as one of the best manufacturers of doors and closing systems for cold rooms and food processing areas. Continuous investments in training, systems and research have made the PFI brand a reference in theindustrial refrigeration door sector.

- 1973
Foundation of the "A. Giammusso e figli" company in Caltanissetta, Italy.
- 1979
Transformation into "Royal Frigo"
company specializing in the production of cold room.
- 1992
The PFI is born
PFI s.r.l. was founded as a spin-off of Royal Frigo. A company specialized in the production of industrial cold room doors.
- 2008
Inauguration of the new commercial offices in Istanbul in Turkey.
- 2009
Inauguration of PFI Endüstriyel factory in Adana in Turkey.
- 2015
Expansion of the Turkish factory
with the installation of new technologies.
- 2018
Developing of new products:
sectional doors, dock shelters, dock levelers and high-speed doors.
- 2018
Foundation of PFI Tech s.r.l. in Caltanissetta,
a company specialized in the development of new technologies and marketing.
- 2023
Implementation of new technologies for PIR insulating foam injection.
Achievement of energy indipendence, thanks to the installation of a 400 kW photovoltaic system.
- 2026
Inauguration of PFI Industrial Doors factory and office in Cairo in Egypt.
